music stops part way through slide show

I have inserted a song to start with my slide show. The first and second
songs play through perfectly. The third song begins, and goes through almost
the whole song plays but then ends abruptly and the slide show ex-es out and
acts like it should be started again. I have tried different songs, and it
always stops at the same spot. I checked to make sure that the ending slide
is past that particular slide, but it still stops. Do all the pictures and
sound have to be formatted, or is there just a glich?

Since it always stops at the same spot, there's probably something specific
causing it.

I'd check animations and transitions and make sure you don't have "stop
previous sound" checked on any of them.

I checked both the animation and transition, and have nothing with previous
sound marked. I double checked the animation and transistion on the slide
before and after, and they are all the same. If i move them around it will
stop on that slide number, no matter what the slide is of. It stops at slide
119 and restarts the slide show, even though I have over 250 slide in the
presentation. Thanks for giving me somewhere to look though!

Ah - a clue - I hadn't read that the whole show was ending. Since it is, I
will jump in and offer a piece of advice. Go to Slide Show--> Set up show
and see if the presentation is set to only run a certain set of slides
(either directly via the from and to values or indirectly via a custom
show). If either of those radio buttons are selected, click the one that
says "All" and see if that fixes the problem.

Ah, thanks for the additional info.

In addition to Kathy's suggestion, also go to Slide Sorter view, select all
the slides, and click Slide Show|Hide Slide. Then do that again to unhide
all slides. Just a double-check to make sure the back end of your
presentation wasn't inadvertently made up of hidden slides.
