MUSIC & POERPOINT

I have added music and narration to previous powerpoint presentations. Now I
am stuck. I wanted to add music from cd to the presentation. It starts on
the first slide and does not continue through the rest. I have done the
insert from cd, loop, etc. I know I am doing something wrong, but don't know
what?

I would appreciate any help and is there also any examples I can download on
how to do it?

do you have your slides set to automatically transition? Within the first
slide do you have any animation? Set these to run "with previous" adjust
their timings to occur as desired.

Hi,

I have a similar problem. I am inserting sound (*.mid) into the powerpoint,
and I want it to play till the end. It worked with the 'auto transition' you
mentioned.

However, I would want to sent the powerpoint out via email, and since the
midi cannot be embedded, i have to send the midi along with the pps. The
problem I am facing is that when the powerpoint starts, it cannot find the
midi file although i attached it with the email, and there is no way i can
change the link as after i click on the mid icon, the 'link' option in the
'edit' menu is still ghosted.

Is there anyway i can embed the midi with the powerpoint?

Place your ppt and midi file in the same folder - if they are not already.
Re-link the midi, if needed.

Now, compress the folder (In Explorer view, Right click on folder then
select Send To > Compressed folder. Attach the zipped folder to your email.
Be aware of potential file size issues...

There's no way to embed midi files but they can (sometimes) be converted into
a RIFF headered mp3 which will embed. We've done quite a few of these for
folk but there is a size increase as midi files are tiny.
