Does anyone know if you can assign a music to play when you receive an email
in Outlook Express 6, not just a little chirping noise from the microsoft
file ?

Control Panel ---> Sounds and Audio Devices ---> Sounds tab

Look for and change "New Mail Notification"

Control panel, sounds and audio. scroll down the list under sounds and find
new mail notification. Put what you want in there.

To add to that, these are .wav files. Charles can choose from any available
..wav file for his new mail notification. If he doesn't find what he likes in
that list, there are many .wav files that can downloaded from the web.

This site has a few fixes for sound problems. Scroll down to "Question:
Where did my Sounds go?". Try the different fixes and see if any
allow you to change and remember the Mail Notification sound.
