Multiply keyboards with different layouts

Hi
I have a notebook with US English keyboard, and occasionally I also plug in a USB Hungarian keyboard.
1. Is it possible to automatically change the layout to Hungarian when I plug in the external keyboard
2. If not, why does the layout return to default if I start a new application? The appropriate dialog box says it only defaults when I restart my computer

Keyboards are identical. The only difference is the letters painted on the keys. The driver just knows what is painted and translates accordingly.

Look at hardware profiles.
