Multiple web page dialog boxes

In case of a few web sites, whenever I click a control or a link to to
another page of the same site, all the pages visited earlier open and close
one after the other. It makes browsing/ data feeding extremely slow. I have
to keep deleting browsing history and cookies many times in a session to
avoid this. Please help.
This does not happen when the same site is visited in Windows XP.

Well, IMO, it Has to be malware of some kind. Gracefully closing an IE
window requires the handle to the window, just for example. Somebody wrote
something that is doing that on purpose. I would inspect what is running
with Process Explorer, or maybe use Autoruns from the systeminternals site
at MS. In any case, I think you should consider finding some tools to
inspect your system. What you might use depends on what you are comfortable
with.

I have got the system cleaned but the problem persists. I also checked with
my two colleagues who use vista. They also face the same problem.

I would test that site with an IE 7 user that does not have Vista. I suspect
you are seeing one of the things mentioned in the IE 7 Release Notes.

See the Internet Explorer 7 Release Notes.:
