Vista History

Chas

I have Vista RC2 installed (upgraded from RC1) and am not able to
build up any History wihin IE.

Have Browsing History set to keep pages for 25 days and allocated
100meg of disk space, but nothing appears under the History tab when I
look at it.

Following the path indicated as the "Current Location" of History
takes me to a number of sub folders with weird names - most of which
contain only a desktop.ini file and some with a number of favicons
(some of which are related to sites I have visited), but I can't get
to that history.

Had the same thing with RC1.

Have I overlooked some other setting somewhere?

Maybe I should do a clean install of RC2?, but would prefer to avoid
that.

A clean install seems to be the recommendation here and it certainly was the
right choice for me.

As to your History problem I'm afraid I don't know - it's working just fine
for me under RC2 and also worked under RC1.
