Multiple Time Settings in One Office

Product: Outlook 2000

For technical reasons in my office, some computers must remain on "Standard"
time while others go to "Daylight Savings" time. This is creating problems
when setting up appointments between these two groups of users where the
appointments show up on the other's computer out by one hour.

Is there a setting in Oulook to "force" the time, ignore the DST or some
other work-around to fix this. Changing the Windows system time is not an
option as these computers are also used to syncronize with other devices that
never go on DST.

I'd be interested in hearing a technical reason for this.

There's no such option in Outlook that I'm aware.

We are an electric utility and we interrogate wholesale electricity meters
for settlement with the system operator. The meters store electricity
consumption data in 15 minute increments, and, due to Market Rules, remain on
Standard Time all year. If we change the computers which are used to
communicate with these meters to DST, the time and consumption intervals are
out by one hour.

Hence, some users in the office on Daylight Time and others on Standard Time.
