Multiple System Install Isues

I have xp home installed on c drive and i have the d drive formatted
as blank i want to install windows Me on the D drive but when i insert
install disc and run exe i t won't allow me due to the error that its trying
to write on the drive

I really need Me installed on D drive is there a way i can bypass the xp
security or is there a backdoor im not aware of... Or am i doing this the
wrong way
