Multiple Systems Xp Base/Me = D drive

I have two drives on my pc the c and d drive i have home edition set up on
both i have formatted the d drive and install Me into it but when i try it
gives me an error of xp reporting the error of trying to write to system and
i really need to install me on d drive...

Is there a way i could bipass it and install me or is there a specific way
im not doing it...

You can dual boot with XP: but can only do this without any other products if
Me [or other system] is installed first.

You need to read more about this: you should refer to this site about dual
booting and how to perform it: the same applies to Home or Pro version.
