Missing D: DRive

Yesterday I reformatted my C: drive and reinstalled my Windows XP – Home
Edition. Everything went great. Before I did the re-formatting I coped much
of my important information on my D: drive. I removed the D; drive so the
re- formatting would not accidentally harm it. Now that the C: drive is
working and the D: drive has been reinstalled, with power off. But now I
cannot get my D: drive to show up on my system tree, there is the A: drive,
C: drive, and the two DVD/CD drives – BUT not my second hard drive. What
have I done, or how can I correct this problem.

You need to start by looking at diskmgmt.msc. If you don't see it there, you
need to check your bios settings. If you do see it, rightclick it for info.
