Multiple reinstallations

Due to some inexactitudes, I have been compelled to install/deinstall some
program three times..
Program is big enough. Can the multiple reinstallations affect on operating
system stability in some way?

Shouldn't affect it. The install should just write over anything that
was left from the prior install the "uninstaller" didn't remove.
