MsPaint problem

Andy

Even though I use multiple Operating Systems, MsPaint is alway my main graphics editor.

Microsoft programmers for that program were years ahead. :)

Linux even feels so as they have included it in their Wine program.

I am trying to edit a file under Windows Paint, but when I click on the white dot to crop an image, it does not let me reduce my image.

Can someone please help me ?

You can upload the image on a public server where we could access it and
also explain what do you want to remove from the image.

Without seeing the image it is not possible to advise.

Only if you tell us what "the white dot" is. I see no "white dot" in
Paint.

Download/install Irfanview. Select what you want to keep. Hit CTRL-Y
to crop. Hit CTRL-S to save.

I hope that smiley means you were joking! I haven't played with the
version of Paint that comes with Vista or later, but it certainly wasn't
years ahead up to XP - more like years behind! For most of its life, it
could only do .bmp files, and had no adjustments of the sort I'd expect
in any graphics editor - brightness, colour, contrast, change size ...
I didn't think Paint even had a crop function. Perhaps we're talking
about some other prog.?

I certainly use IV for all my graphic work. (I did have PSP at one
point, for its clone brush - but IV got one of those some years ago.)

You probably have not spent much time with it.

Sure paint can crop.

You drag the white dots to reduce one side at a time.

Then you rotate it and continue the process.

Paint is also a fair hand at getting rid of watermarks as well using the select and paste tools.
