Multiple Monitors and Performance

Good evening.

I'm setting up a computer to do video and audio editing and I want to use
multiple monitors. Here's the brief on the video configuration I am planning
on using:

Main Video Card: ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 Pro (AGP)
Alternate Card: ATI Radeon 128 (PCI)
Running Windows XP Pro SP2

Here's the question ... will using the second video card (which obviously is
not as fast or powerful) hurt the performance on the higher end card. In
other words, will the two video cards work at the performance level of the
lesser card or will each card perform independently.

Thanks in advance

I have been on dual monitors for several years now. They work independently.
You have a choice as to which monitor to use as the primary display. You do
this by right clicking the desktop/properties/settings.

I had nothing but problems using two ATI cards at same time. Real
jerk-around getting drivers to properly install, especially keeping full
video feature(s) on primary card. Made updating drivers a mess also. Finally
gave up after year or so and switched the 2nd card to an old Matrox Mystique
and no more hassles.
