Multiple Errors and Long Bootup

Hi

We have a workstation on our network that takes a significant amount of time
to boot up, whether plugged into the network or not. It seems to take a
long time preparing network connections, although we can ping the machine
whilst it is taking this time.

We have found these errors in the error log:

The COM+ Event System failed to create an instance of the subscriber
partition:{41E90F3E-56C1-4633-81C3-6E8BAC8BDD70}!new:{6295DF2D-35EE-11D1-870
7-00C04FD93327}. CoGetObject returned HRESULT 8000401A.

The system failed to update and remove pointer (PTR) resource records (RRs)
for network adapter
with settings:

Adapter Name : {B221CDC6-AB95-433E-801D-42DDC63FF2E8}
Host Name : MACHINENAME
Adapter-specific Domain Suffix : ourdomain.local
DNS server list :
192.168.1.253
Sent update to server : <?>
IP Address : 192.1.1.1

The system could not remove these PTR RRs because because of a system
problem. For specific error code, see the record data displayed below.

The machine has a static IP Address to which there are no conflicts.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
B

In addtion when the second error occurs the access to the mapped drives
stops as they are mapped \\servername\sharename but ip address access works.

In addition the webclient service seems to always be in the Stopping status.

Thanks
