Is there a Microsoft Support Professional that can help me resolve what is
causing the following Command Object Module (COM+) Application Warning in
Event Viewer? I do not get this warning message at every instance of
bootup, so I can't seem to isolate the problem. Thanks for your help!

Event Category: (52)
Event ID: 4356
Date: 11/6/2007
Time: 11:51:36 AM

This is a peer-to-peer newsgroup and while occasionally an MS employee
might post, the vast majority of helpers are volunteers who do not work
for the company. If you wish to speak to an MS Support Professional,
you'll need to call Microsoft.

Contact MS - http://support.microsoft.com/gp/contactuswindows?sd=win
MS International Support -
http://support.microsoft.com/common/international.aspx

If you don't want to call Microsoft Support - which is not free - a
Google search using the search term "the COM+ Event System failed to
create an instance of the subscriber partition" brings up a number of
links which may be useful to you.

From searching on the "58FC39EB-9DBD-4EA7-B7B4-9404CC6ACFAB" GUID, it
appears the DWTRIG20.exe is involved which is part of Microsoft's
error reporting service environment. My guess is that you have an NT
service that refuses to start on Windows startup or refuses to unload
during Windows shutdown. Check the NT services (services.msc) to make
sure all that are marked for Automatic start are actually started.
Could be a service that refuses to stop when Windows is shutdown so
you need to manually shutdown the non-critical services to see if any
become unresponsive (like they hang for a long time and then the OS
reports the service is unresponsive). Samsung's MagicTune utility
doesn't shutdown properly and this is how I found out why Windows
shutdown was taking so damn long (plus there was a dwwin.exe warning,
also part of error reporting, that appeared momentarily during
shutdown). Because the service won't respond, the error reporting
could fail.
