Hello,
I had to reinstall xp on my computer due to some false instruction from my internet service
provider. My "old" xp os and all setting information is still on my hard disc.I was using outlook with my old
os and I like to get .pst file from outlook to use it in my newly installed os which I will be using
Outlook express. How can I import .pst file to outlook express?
Microsoft web site has some instruction as how to import .pst file which I followed but I get
an error message " Messages cannot be imported from MAPI client" .

any suggestion and help would be appreciated.

Hi!
You need at least one profile (better the default profile) which has the PST file preferrably as the default delivery destination.

Hi,
does outlook express uses .pst file ? I wasn't able to
find
one for it on my new installed xp. I have backup .pst
files of my outlook which I like to copy it
into new outlook express profile file.

would you know where the profile is for outlook express?

thanks
nh
