mspaint.exe will not come up

Howard

I have a Compac Presario with Windows XP. After a year of
working fine, mspaint.exe suddenly will not activate.
Everything else works fine. I was halfway through making
a picture page for a Christmas newsletter when it quit
working. The problem may have something to do with Roxio
Easy CD Creator, which I have uninstalled. Paint still
will not work. Can I uninstall and reinstall mspaint? Is
this a common problem with Windows XP?

Hi Howard,

You can remove Paint via Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove
Windows Components, Accessories and Utilities. Uncheck Paint. Finish the
uninstall Wizard. Restart and go back to Control Panel to re-check Paint.
