Entry Point Not Found - MSPAINT.EXE - IMM32.DLL

I get a bunch of "Entry Point Not Found" errors when opening
MSPAINT.EXE. If I keep hitting OK - it starts to load up MSPAINT. It
just goes on and on and on...

I found a procedure (download new version of IMM32.DLL - it is dated
2004 and my current DLL is dated 4/2008) - go into SafeMode and copy
over existing - reboot and RUN REGSVR32 C:\windows\system32...

When I go into SafeMode and attempt to copy - I get process in use.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

UPDATE: I tried: RUN REGSVR32 C:\windows\system32...

Received:

c:\windows\system32\imm32.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer
entry point was not found.

Maybe you should repost your problem, stating it the right way. ;-)

What happened on 4/14/2008?

The first one is a backup
The second is part of the uninstall package for SP2
The third one is the version in use. And it seems to be defective.
The fourth one is the backup for the install of SP2

I was having some problems but when I upgraded to SP3 (believe it was
4/14/2008) it went away. It just started again but worse (can even
get through the messages) now.

OK - Here is the latest. I renamed 3 of the 4 version to
IMM32.DLL.OLD and left the one in my Systems32 directory. I rebooted
and still had the same problem. However, today (for some reason) I no
longer get any error messages! MSPAINT.EXE seems to work just fine
now. Go figure!
