A month after the blog announcement, the inevitable has happened today?

NNTP via Outlook Express is still working on some NG's that I used to visit.

I take back my last statement, NNTP was working a minute ago, now it is not.
The message you will get polling NNTP via a newsreader such as Outlook Express,
Windows Live mail or Forté Agent, will see the message say "group no longer exists" ...

When exiting, it will disappear from you NNTP list.

I would like to hear from someone from MS as to what tool, etc are require for those
that wish to view MS news as there is a Bridge Tool which allows you to poll NNTP
from the Web, seems like a waste of time if the true place now for MS News is the web.

For those that were subscribed to NNTP, what do those users do with extraneous messages
left in the data store never to be used again ! Is there a process to purge those or are we
to assume we must find them ourselves ?

Yep, same on Thundebird ;-)

(I'm not winking, that's a tear.)

I still access some of the microsoft.public newsgroups using
freenews.netfront.net
