MSN ? What use is it?

If I do not use MSN messaging - can I safely uninstall this app which
has been on my system since year dot?

It is a large progeam (25.39MB) - and I am not sure if uninstalling it
will have side-effects on other Windows features?

uninstall it...
It's one of the first things I do when setting up and XP machine
