MSN Premium Won't install

Greetings to all

At the risk of being told I should be in another newsgroup, I am one more
person who has been forced by circumstance to buy a new laptop which
(naturally) comes with Vista Home Premium. I tried to install MSN Premium and
I kept getting the message that Windows has a problem and is closing the
program down. Naturally it does't say what the problem is. Yes I have
contacted MSN Premium and yes they sent me to the site to download MSN
Premium 9.5. So I go through the motions, with no better result than before.

Searching through earlier threads in this newsgroup I see how someone made
it install by converting the program to something called "XP SP2
Compatibility", without being kind enough to say how that might be done.

If any kind soul reads this and can advise me I should be very grateful.

Select the installer and right click it with your mouse.
Then select the properties at the bottom.
Go to the "compatibility" tab and set it to:
Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)

Herby, thanks for your help. Unfortunately, although I did all you said,
nothing happened at all. So, having put in those settings, I clicked on the
shortcut for the installer and it went through exactly the same series of
events until I got the message that the Msn application has encountered a
problem and will shut down. There seems to be no cure for this problem.
