MSN Messenger doesn't launch Foxfire?

I would like MSN Messenger to launch Foxfire which is my default browser and
not IE when I load my hotmail inbox. Is that reasonable or am I stuck with
IE? I need IE anyway for Windows Update but there should be no reason for MSN
to use IE.
