MSN Messenger - Audio/Video

My office computer is on Win XP. My Home computer is on Win2K. I'm using MSN
messnger 6.2 in both and have dial up connections. Using MSN messenger from
my office computer I cannot have an audio conversation with the home
computer. Once I start the audio conversation(after the home computer accepts
it), it say "Audio conversation ended". Looks like it does not get connected
to my home computer when audio chat is used. The typing chat works properly.
I tried an audio conversation with another WinXP machine and it works fine.
Can anybody help me so that I can have audio conversations with my home
computer? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Don ... You and your contact might try trying off the QoS Packet
Scheduler. To do so , click start >>> Control panel
and double click Network Connections >>> Right click you network/internet
connection , then click Properties.
Uncheck the QoS Packet Scheduler , and try again .. If the QoS option is
grayed out , simply click on it and chosse
the Uninstall button instead , see if that helps...

If you have SP2 on the XP machine, check in Windows Firewall's
exceptions to see if one has been made for MSN Messenger. It looks as
if the request for transmission coming back from the other end is being
blocked.

Note that if you want to *send* files in Messenger you must also unblock
ports TCP 6891 to say 6893

I first tried removing the QoS Packet scheduler. As I still had the same
problem I removed Windows Firewall settings for dial-up connection and it
started working perfectly. Thanks for both of you.
