MSI Reboot problem - Reboots w/o any prompt :(

We are attempting to use Group Policy Objects (GPO) for automated
installation of some ActiveX controls at my company. We're following the
guidelines in the MSDN article: How to Publish ActiveX Controls in Windows
2000 Using IntelliMirror
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q241163 to publish
the controls to Active Directory. Problem is that these controls are
updated every week or so, so we need a mechanism to update this controls.
We figured out that we could just update the MSI package and force a
redeployment of the package to all clients. When the client next requests
the webpage with the ActiveX control, the updates happen auto-magically and
everyone is happy. The only problem is if the user is currently using the
control (before the MSI update) as they often are, if they hit F5 to refresh
the browser, the update process will REBOOT their machine w/o any prompt.
If they were to close IE first and then go back to the page with the
control, the update happens w/o any problem.

Is there any way to either:
1. Turn off the auto-Reboot
2. Make the system prompt for reboot

I'm guessing there must be some setting in Active Directory or a Registry
setting on the local computer that would do this.

Thanks.

Brian
