Mshome not accessible

Hi. I am new to networking in XP. I have a tower and a laptop connected via
a wireless router. The laptop sees the other computer but cannot access it.
The tower does not see any computers however when I go to view them I get
this error message:

Mshome is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network
resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permissions. The list of servers for this workgroup is currently not
avaliable.

I ran the networking wizard countless times with no luck. Please help!

I have (and have had for some weeks). a similar problem, or at least one
which produces a similar message :
I have a PC and a notebook, both running WXP Home Edition with SP2
installed. (I had the problem before I installed SP2 ).
I have a Netcomm NB1300 Plus 4 modem/firewall/router/4-port switch, to which
a NIC in both PC and the NB are connected to an Ethernet ports via RJ 45
cat5 cables (I started with the PC connected via a crossover cable, but have
replaced that with the straight thru RJ 45 ).
Both computers can connect to the Internet OK and the PC can "see" the NB
and read data etc from it, but the NB cannot "see" the PC, cannot share its
files and cannot use its printer. (File and printer sharing is enabled on
both )
I can ping from both the PC and the NB to the modem/Internet, from the PC to
the NB, but not from the NB to the PC.
Each computer has a unique name and are on the same workgroup (MSHOME ). I
have administrator privileges and the same user name on both computers
(although these are probably not relevant ).
When I try to View Workgroup Computers on the NB, after a long pause, I get
"MSHOME is not accessible. You might not have permissinn to use this network
resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permission. The network path was not found "
Any help would be appreciated
Xys
