MSHearts Lan game

Is it possible to play MS hearts ona LAN? ..... see below

I've successfully networked my new XP PC with my old 98
PC. although my 98 version of MShearts asks if I would
like to join a network game if fails to connect. My xp PC
doesn't even give me that option.

Has microsoft gone backwards on this issue or is it me?

Unfortunately, Microsoft decided to remove the option to Hearts play over a
LAN in XP. They thought it would be much more fun to play complete
strangers.

Hopefully they'll see sense and reintroduce it in their next OS.
