Hello all ---

Why cant I use my GOLD PARTNER Volume License key with the MSDN Media? I'm
trying to install XP PRo that I downloaded from msdn.microsoft.com as an
ISO, but when I put in my License Key, it won't take it.

Any ideas why? (I'm on the phone with MS now, but they can't seem to
understand the issue -- they are telling me that I should be able to use my
key with this, but whenever I use it, I get an error that says "Invalid
Product Key"...)

Thanks all!

You are trying to use a Volume Licence Key with a Retail version.
Use the MSDN Retail Version Key.

Product Keys are bound to the specific type and language of
CD/license (OEM, Volume, retail, full, or Upgrade) with which they are
purchased. For example, a WinXP Home OEM Product Key won't work for any
retail version of WinXP Home, or for any version of WinXP Pro, and vice
versa. An upgrade's Product Key cannot be used with a full version CD,
and vice versa. An OEM Product Key will not work to install a retail
product. An Italian Product Key will not work with an English CD.
Bottom line: Product Keys and CD types cannot be mixed & matched.
