XP Pro product key from MSDN sub not working

I am trying to install XP Pro using the product code I got with my MSDN
subscription but I get "invalid product code". I have tried several times and
I am certain I am entering the code correctly. Is there a certain version or
ISO that I need to use this prod code with? I am installing from an older
valid copy of XP Pro volume license CD. Thanks -Frank

Yes, the MSDN subscription product key needs to be used with the MSDN ISO.

You'll be able to download the ISO from the MSDN web site.

MSDN downloads are basically "Retail" based copies and a VLK
source disk will not validate with them. You should use the disk(s)
from the MSDN shipments or download the appropriate software
from the subscription downloads site.

Why don't you use the CDs/DVDs coming along with your MSDN subscription.
Note: Retail license != Volume license

| Microsoft Office 2003 is an exception, and accepts both retail and
| volume license keys.
