Please!
Error message appears after full boot up "Cannot find file etc etc"
The file in question was a *.exe and was deleted. The system keeps looking for it.
MSconfig allows me to turn off the file, but turns it back on after reboot.
How can I get this annoying message to stop popping up?

Suggest you try freeware app "Run Services" .. I use it on WinXP Home and it works. When you open RS, look and see if the problem app is listed, if so, right click on it and select "Disable".

download and run xteq and regscrub. both are free. xteq
behind your back wizard is what you want. regscrub removes
registry entries that are junk, often from deleting
without proper uninstall (I do this a lot, because the un
installers do not remove it all anyway)
