msconfig and task manager

Need help with two problems please,

First, when I try to access Task Manager through "ctrl", "alt", "del" I get
an icon in the taskbar for a few seconds, my screen flashes and the icon
disappears. I used to be able to access it, but now I can't.

Secondly, when I type "msconfig" in RUN... I used to be able to access it.
Now, it flashes up in front of me for a split second and disappears as well.

Can anyone help?

Hi Rick,

You have a virus, many of them disable the system tools. Download the most
recent update for your AV program and run a full system scan in Safe mode.
While you do this, use the emergency tools described by MVP Doug Knox here:
