MS Word and Email

I use MS Office 97, Outlook Express 6, and IE6. I used to email stuff out through MS Word, but since I have upgraded to Windows XP Home Edition, the Send To option in MS Word does not work. It says it needs Microsoft Exhange. Does that come on the Windows XP cd? Help?

Yes, it does. I believe it's also usually enabled by
default, but not positive. At any rate, check Help for it
and you should find what you need to start it up. Sounds
like you may have to add it to your setup.

No, contary to what Pop is telling you, Exchange doesn't
come with Windows XP or with Office. It's a Server only
software and must be purchased separately.

You should check other settings or the help file in Word
97 to see if you can use the e-mail option but to my
knowledge it only works with Outlook not Outlook Express.

OOPS!! Very sorry about that! I had Messenger on the brain
I think! Duh!?

Try this. Click on the Microsoft Office Setup which should be in your
start menu along with Word, Excell, etc. and insert the CD when you're
told to do so. Select the add/remove components button, select Word,
click on Change Option, tick the box for Wordmail in Exchange, start
clicking OK and Continue until it's done.

See if that helps.
