MS Spyware not picking known spyware

I had been using Lavasoft Ad-Aware up until I installed
MS Spyware, it continually picking up 4+ pieces of
Spyware on a daily basis. I have been running every day
without fail assuming that it was keeping my spyware /
adware at bay, and noting that it said on a daily basis
that no known pieces had been detected. I wrongly assumed
that it was blocking these known pieces from being
installed on my machine... not.
I also have a Zonealarm Firewall which today prompted me
that it has a new piece of software available that
protects against Spyware also. It offered a FREE scan of
my PC online, so I thought that it was worth doing to
prove the point that the MS Anti-Spyware was blocking and
keeping my PC protected. I assumed that it would come
back saying that it han't detected any... wrong it came
back with 9 known culprits, but unfortunately to delete
these automatically requires me to pay £29.95. I think I
might go back to Lavasoft product again... it is FREE and
it works....

MSAS does not look for or count cookies at this time.

Thanks for the update, when wil MSAS start to look for
cookies and the like? Will there be an update for this?
They must no the main culprits and be able to block as
nec.

I think the primary goal here in this relaese is to get a good reliable
anti-spy engine to put into the next browser or enterprise tool for
business. Cookies are already controlable to a certain extent so they may
try to enhance the way cookies are now monitored in IE.
