MS Office XP Professional Product Key

My dog ate the product key! Really! Our new puppy climed on to the
computer desk and got into the CD case ware I keep my install disks. My
Office install disk is in the sleeves they came in and she almost chewed up
these disks. I saved the disks, but she removed part of the product key,
and being an idiot I forgot to store a backup of the key in a safe place
(just like it says on the back of the sleeve). Is the product key stored on
the hard disk during installation? Registry? And how do I find it. I will
store it in a safe place this time.
