I have an MS Money file that has 5 years of data in it. I
need to archive the file, but do it for each year
separately. Currently, all years are in the same file. I
cannot extract the data for each year manually. What
should I do.

Use the export function to export the entire file as QIF. Then copy
paste only the data from each individual year separately. Keep the
format as QIF. When you have 5 separate QIF files (one for each
year), you can then import them back into Money one at a time into 5
temporary accounts. Account1, account2, and so on. Then archive
each account and save it as *.mny files.
