Applian Software Worst Rubbish?

Around a year or so ago I downloaded the paid version of Applian Suite
which I have hardly used because I find it totally rubbishy. Has anyone
else had experience with this software or is it just me that thinks this
is a con rather than software for which they charge good money?

This may not be the right newsgroup for this subject but if would be
interesting to find out what others are making of this software. The
only thing they are good at are asking for more and more money for
updates which I expect will still not work just like the original
Applian Director or Applian Suite I bought!

I have since discovered lots or free software that works far better and
at least does the job properly. Is this really a con trick?

I have a Applian FLV player which I downloaded years ago. I still have
it installed in Win98, but since then I have found better video players.
The Applian one works, and is small and free, but I do recall something
about it containing one of those annoying browser toolbars. I removed
the toolbar, but kept the player. I recalled the name when you posted
this, and searched my HDD for "Applian". That is all I've used from
them. Beware of toolbars which may track you.....

I wouldn't call it a "con". How much did you pay for it?

I can do all the things listed there with freeware. Maybe having them
all together in one packet suits some people.

They have a pretty generous 30 day return policy. Why didn't you take
advantage of it?

Their software works fine for me.
