After finding and installing MS Backup from the Windows XP Home Ed. CD, I have 2 questions

1) I cannot get the program to Overwrite the previous (Normal) backup - even though I select the 'Overwrite' vs 'Append' option, when it comes up. I keep getting the error message "No room on your [floppy] disk, insert another disk"

2) I cannot find an option that will allow me to repeat (i.e., re-backup) a previous MS Backup Job, so that I do not have to recheck the various selected files that I want to backup.

.
it is meant for backing up to second hdd and will not
allow incremental backups to any cd or dvd or floppy.

so if you want to incremental backups you will need a
second partition large enough to allow it or a second
hard disk drive with enough space.

if backing to cd or dvd you will only be allowed to do a
new backup each time overwriting the old one.

third party software will the built in software is a
limited program.

1) Don't know the answer to this one.

2) When you have made your selection of items that you want to save, select
Job>"Save selection as" and then give the job a name of your choice. The
next time that you run Backup you just click on the "Open backup job" icon
and select your previously named job.
