What backup program is best?

I have been using NTI (New Technology Inc.) File Backup for same time.
Recently they "upgraded" to version 5, and made the user interface much less
intuitive. Also, it seems to lose some information I entered, such as Job
Name, Overwrite option, and Verify option.

Is there a preferred file backup program that you experts recommend? (XP
SP3.)

For making backups in a home envoronment, Acronis Trueimage takes some
beating. I would not recommend it for backing up a business environment
(because this it not its primary function), but for home use it is entirely
adequate. It provides a method of restoring to a brand new blank disc.

And don't forget to have at least a couple of rescue CDs
made for you by True Image. Totally cheap compared
to your time if you find you have no other way to boot short
of using your Windows installation media.
