MS Antispyware compatability issues

While running Antispyware my Sony DRU700A DVD burner became
inoperable. Unistalling MS Antispyware seems to have fixed
the problem.
 
You may not be a glutton for punishment, but...
If you reinstall Microsoft Antispyware, does the problem return?
Is the problem with particular application software that came with the
drive?
