tablet pc + ms antispyware = slow application launching

hi, I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing what I am experiencing. I
just bought my first tablet pc (love it dearly!). However I also use ms
antispyware. Problem is, each time I try loading notepad or wordpad, I have
to wait significantly long (2 seconds) before the application loads up. I
looked in the process manager and found that the ms antispyware components
(gcas*) are taking up 99% of the cpu. When I end those processes (or
uninstall ms-antispyware completely), both notepad and wordpad opens up
"zippily" (within 1/10th of a second).

Additionally I noticed that the antispyware icon seems to be repeated every
once in a while (only to close when I hover over them) when I use the
tablet's pen feature to enter information. This "repeating icon" problem
could be a different issue from the first..

Anyone know a fix/workaround for this?

thx.
Leng.

This was answered in another newsgroup.

If you must post identical messages in more than one newsgroup please
crosspost, i.e. please place all of the newsgroups in the Newsgroup field of
one message, separated by commas. That way when someone reads the message
in one newsgroup it will be marked as read in all of them. In addition, an
answer posted in one newsgroup will generally show up in all of them.

This is usually not necessary since most of those who answer posts read
more than one newsgroup.
