MS Access licence ?

I'm little bit confused about legal rights for distributing Access
aplications...

If someone buys MS Ofiice 2003 Pro or just Access 2003, is he allowed to
sell Access aplications without Visual Studio Tools for MS Office ?
Or Visual Studio Tools for Office is required only for solutions that need
Access runtime to be installed (computers without MS Office being
installed)?

Thanks.

If you make it a user requirement that they must have Access installed on their
system and all you are selling is the MDB file that you created then you are
completely free to do so in the same manner that you could sell an Excel file or
a Word file.

If you want to include a runtime of Access so users who have not purchased
Access on their own can run your application then you do need to purchase the
VST for Office as that is what gives you license to distribute the runtime.

Hi,

You can sell and distribute your own MDB/MDE without the developer tools to
clients who provide their own retail version of Access.
