MPG files not playing in WMP

M

Mel Lowe

I'm using wmp10 and when I try to play an mpg file I get the error:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt
or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play.

When I click on the "more information" burtton I get;

"0xC00D1199: Cannot play the file"

I've checked the TOOLS-OPTIONS-FILE TYPES of the player and everything
is in order there. I've deleted the following software thinking maybe
it was causing a conflict:
Alcohol
VLC
PowerDVD
DIVX
Replay Radio
Nero

So gosh any help to correct this would be great. I think I'm becoming
obsessed with solving this problem because I know I have players that
will play mpg's but darnit WMP used to play these and suddenly now
they don't.

Thankful for any help!!
