MP3 Player not showing in Windows Explorer

After connecting my MP3 player via USB, it doesn't appear in Windows
Explorer. I checked under Device Mgr., and it appears there. I tried it on
my laptop and it works fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

An MP3 player works similar to an USB memory stick: The system allocates
the next free drive letter. If this letter has been occupied by a mapped
network drive for instance, the MP3 player (USB stick) does not show up.

Any way to correct or fix this?

Several ways to fix including the XP disk management tool and third-
party utilities. Anyway, I recommend to move the mapped network drives
towards drive letters starting with the letter M: or so and the problem
should be resolved.
