Windows Explorer can't Play MP3's

In the past, whenever I opened up a folder that contained MP3's, the
Windows Explorer would offer a choice called Play All in the left pane.
Clicking this option would open up the Windows Media Player with the
MP3's loaded, and begin playing.

Recently, the Play All feature has just stopped working. It is presented
when the folder contains MP3's, but clicking it does nothing. The Media
Player doesn't open, and neither does anything else. No error appears.

I know my MP3's are still associated with the Media Player because if I
highlight a bunch of them and hit enter, then the Media Player does open
up and play them. Its just the Play All (and Play Selected) feature in
the left pane that doesn't work.

I run Windows XP Media Center Edition.

Any help wouild be appreciated.

Thanks so much for the reply, and the wonderful webpage info.

It turns out that PowerIso was blocking the PlayAll feature. Once
disabled using ShelExView, the feature came back to life.

Thanks again!!!
