Media Player does not play back downloaded mp3 files

I have a computer under Vista. The Windows Media Player does not play back
mp3 files, downloaded from the Internet. The progress bar is moving, time is
running, but there is no sound! But mp3 files, which were put in the system
during installation (samples), are playing back normally. And another player
on the computer is playing ALL mp3 files. At the same time ALL mp3 files
from the computer played through home network on another computer (under
WinXP) fine.
Why does this happen? How can I fix this?

Thank you

Lev

Hi Lev,

A shot in the dark could be that you are dealing with a DRM issue. I
have run into a few mp3 that Media Player wouldn't play but that my
other mp3 players have no problem with on the same machine.
