MP3 clip will not play in slide show

I have a series of MP3 clips in a folder where I have saved my PowerPoint
Presentation. The all play fine in iTunes or in media player. One of them
will not play after I "insert sound.." into my slide - all of the others do!
I followed exactly the same procedure for inserting each of them.

Is this another part of the diabolical Microsoft plot to deprive me of my
sanity!

Thaks for the reponse. I don't know what DRM protection is. Also, I doubt
it's the problem. This sound clip was working fine in the original PP
presentation. I copied the presentation and 10 audio clips to a new folder.
I re-established the links to the sound files by deleting the original sound
icons and re-inserted each sound using the "insert, movies and sounds, insert
sound from file.." Now nine work but the last one, which is from a different
souce, but still an mp3, does not work.

How can I check for DRM protection?

Further to John,

I checked your web site and tried the solutions there - finally I
"converted" the mp3 to "wav" using CDex as you suggested. It works!

(Why - I don't know!)

Many thanks
