MP 9 not responding to keyboard

I have Win MP 9 Series installed on XP Pro and the MP Toolbar turned on. I
also have a Natural Keyboard Pro. MP will no longer respond to the keyboard
(stop, pause, next track, etc...) when minimized, but will respond when
maximized.

Before I reinstall MP or the keyboard driver, I was just wondering if there
was anything else to try.

I don't believe the keyboard knows how to send messages to the Toolbar
player, since the Toolbar player requires a slightly different messaging
path, if I recall correctly.

WMP is largely irrelevant to this - it will process the WM_APPCOMMAND
messages if the keyboard sends it. If WMP isn't responding, then the
keyboard is not sending the message to WMP. If there's keyboard support,
they'd be who to talk to. I could likely help them out if they were
confused about how to make this happen (zachd at microsoft dot com) in their
software, but I believe they already know who I am (haven't talked with them
lately), so perhaps this either isn't something they're thinking about or
not thinking about yet If you talk to them about requesting this, that
might help.

Well, the keyboard is an MS keyboard, not a 3rd party. I checked and my
drivers were 2.x and I found out that the current version was 5.0, so I
uninstalled the old driver and installed 5.0 and now the keyboard can
control WMP.
