Moving XP to new computer

I am upgrading XP Home to XP Pro on my desk computer. Can
I tehn install the XP Home to my laptop as an upgrade to
ME currently installed on it and not have an issue with
authentication? I am concerned that it will think I am
installing on tweo computers and I am not. I can't find
an answer anywhere on this. Thanks.

No, the XP Home license becomes part of the
XP Pro license when upgrading.

Go to Start > Run and type: WINVER , and hit enter. Then click
on "End-User License Agreement" and read it.

Also, open XP's "Help and Support" and type: EULA
and click on "Questions and Answers about the
End-User License Agreement".

It depends what license class easch of the OSs in question are.

If the XP home is a retail full install or upgrade, and the XP-Pro is
a full install, you can.

If the XP Home is an OEM version, or the XP-Pro is an upgrade, no.
