Moving Outlook to a new computer

I've read all the excellent help re moving outlook (emails, contacts, etc) to
a new computer using 'Import and Export'. That all works fine for me but
only the text of emails transfer, not the attachments or the send/receive
dates. What am i doing wrong?

"Excellent" and "Import and Export" don't really do well in a single
sentence when it comes to transferring Outlook data.
There is absolutely no need to use Import and Export for this.

Belatedly, thank you for your advice - all worked well. An extension of the
same query - is it possible to transfer Outlook Express files (Inbox,
Contacts, etc) to Outlook?

Export mail in Outlook Express by clicking File>Export>Messages. Import
contacts in Outlook by clicking File>Import and Export>Import Internet Mail
and Addresses.

Exporting messages from Outlook Express preserves the message date stamps.
Importing them with Outlook usually changes them to the time of import.
