Old laptop outlook 2003 to new laptop outlook 2007

Major frustration trying to move contacts, calender and tasks fro old
computer XPoutlook 03 to new computer Vista outlook 07. Read and tried
multiple articals and sites. I used to export and import for backups but
have read not to do this but copy and open data files.
1. I have unhidden files on old computer.
2. Copy Outlook.pst, tasks.pst, calendar,pst, contacts.pst and email to new
computer
3. open outlook 07 and File>OPen>Outlook data file> any of #2 above
What am I doing wrong!!! Can't be this hard???

All outlook data is contained in a single *.pst file, by default named
outlook.pst
Exactly what name pst's do you have on your old PC?

The default locations are shown here (The pst does not *have to be* located
in the default location)

Do NOT overwrite any pst in a copy process
