Moving Outlook 2002 Settings to a new computer!

Toni

I'm moving to a new computer, and of course that includes moving Outlook 2002 as well.

I know how to move and add my .PST files, but how do I move my Outlook Bar settings? Are
they included in the PST file, or is there anything I need to do?

Also, can someone tell me how to move/export all my Outlook email accounts to the new
computer?

Thanks!!!

Toni

If this new PC runs Vista, you'll have problems. Outlook 2002 doesn't work
well with Vista and Microsoft does not intend to fix it.

Nope, we have no Vista computers. I'm moving from Windows 2000 to Windows XP Pro.

OK, then. See these web sites:

Account information isn't kept in file, per se. It's in the mail profile
which is located in the Registry. The Office XP installation CD should
contain the Office XP Resource Kit which contains a tool called the "Save My
Settings Wizard". That tool should allow you to transfer your accounts.
However, don't use it to transfer your Outlook data. Personally, I think
it's wiser just to recreate the accounts manually.
